Title: RE: the Bell-LaPadula model

I was just looking at Denning's book _Cryptography and Data Security_ a minute ago.  She references the Bell-LaPadula model a couple of times in there, but no detail.  She does reference the original MITRE work from 1973 in the section on Information Flow Controls.

Bell73. Bell, D. E. and LaPadula, L. J., "Secure Computer Systems: Mathematical Foundations and Model," M74-244, The Mitre Corp., Bedford, Mass. (May 1973)

Dorothy also extended the Bell-LaPadula model and called it the Lattice Model.
