I looking for some help with a problem I have. I have been requested to set up a firewall between two halves of a business. They both run Windows NT, but there is no trust or WINS replication etc at this time. However, this is something that they may wish to add in the future. The group choice for firewalls is Firewall-1. I have read that due to the way NBT embeds the IP address in the data, Firewall-1 cannot translate these packets correctly and the domain authentication will not work. (We will be using NAT). Is there a firewall out there that will allow NT trusts to work at a later date. We also have a Cisco PIX onsite which I like, but I cannot find out if Cisco NAT has the same problem. The Checkpoint site claims that Firewall-1 does support NetBios over IP, but I take it this is for access to resources only. Help !!!
