have you configured your pix with the appropriate tftp-server config?

assuming your tftp server is on the inside interface, your config 
would look something like:

tftp-server inside <your tftp-server ip addr> filename.txt

then, when your write out your pix config to your tftp server, 
you'd just issue:

write net


At least, this is how it seems to work with the 5.x versions 
of PIX (up to and including 5.1(2).
