You shouldn't even need to do this, if the internal DNS is set up to 
forward (external/public) queries to the external DNS.

Carl, the basics are in Cheswick and Bellovin, _Building Internet 
Firewalls_, section 3.3.4, "Taming the DNS" :-). I don't see that the 
presence of NAT should make any difference.
