Hi again, Well I want to thank everyone for the Un*x lessons (laugh) as they were fun to say the least. I do appreciate the feedback on free vs open BSD. I was just unaware of the tree/branch that open and free took. You answered my question and then some. I am in the process of building my openbsd server as we speak. I will say this should create a nice mix. Currently have Linux running on Sparc (ultras) and Compaq/dec Alphas as well as PCs. (all the NT boxes were secretly and quietly replaced with linux and samba without telling the users *smile*) So, now I start to add into the mix some OpenBSD (And may add a freeBSD server or too as well). I always figure that if you have several different platforms and they all answer with the same prompt, it will keep the bad guys guessing for a little while anyway. Also have 2 different vendors (one commerical and one gnu) IDS systems... So, if one misses something the other usually picks it up. Anyway, thanks again for the input and the enjoyable reading... ciao r - [To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe firewalls" in the body of the message.]
