Given some feedback on some private posts, (*Er).. I was merely trying to
make the point that each personal firewall and IDS product has their pluses
and minuses, and asking questions on why a particular product is superior
to another.
The personal firewall and IDS products brings a much different approach to
how security products are designed. No longer are they designed for those
"experienced" security experts, but for the person who may not have an
intimate knowledge in what applications, services or ports that are bad or
good.
That the point I was trying to make, and consider some of the information
posted and somehow figure out a way on how to improve the product without
causing the user to much pain..
