There are LOTS of systems (Linux, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, etc) which
can be demonstrated to handle enourmous amounts of traffic in LAN based
100 Mb situations (don't get me started on the Linux systems saturating
a 100 Mb LAN to the point of switches shutting down connections because
of too many collisions when some idiot decides to copy CD's between two
Linux boxes across a managed hub). Can YOU provide documentation in
regards to networking performance of embedded NT systems that justifies
the rediculous expense the OEMs have to endure over and above the
alternatives?

I would think that logic would dictate that you would have to
justify the additional expense, not that others would have to justify
not making the expense, all other things being equal.
