This is more of a curiosity question than anything
else. I was wondering if anyone has considered using
NT Embedded for a firewall platform?
Since we want to have a minimal NT system, and NT
embedded can provide that, I'm a bit surprised
firewall vendors haven't adopted this option for their
appliances. I would also expect a performance increase
over vanilla NT.
Or do you think that people, including firewall
vendors, just consider NT to be trash and not worth
the investment.
