Everett,
Please note that SSH support is being rolled out to the entire Cisco IOS in
versions that support 56 or 128 bit DES encryption. It will be in all
subsequent major versions with DES support. At the time it was released in
version 12.0 (5) we announced that it was in a particular "train" (or a set
of builds, not all versions) of the 12.x IOS. The plan is for it to become
"main line" (in all versions) in the next major version (i.e. 13.x). It
could happen early, it is a very popular option. With that said many
customers can find a 12.1 T build that will work with their hardware.
For additional information about SSH Server in IOS see:

Please see my additional comments in line.

If you search on "SSH IOS" using the search feature on the main page of CCO
the second hit is "IOS 12.1(5)T Release Notes". If you follow that link
and use the Internet Explorer feature "Edit, Find in Page" and enter "SSH",
it takes you directly to the SSH Server in IOS notes link.

Incorrect information. SSH Server is going into IOS versions which support
DES encryption, not just the IOS Firewall versions.

You may want to take a longer look at:
http://www.employees.org/~satch/ssh/faq/ssh-faq.html
Steve Acheson (satch) is a Cisco employee (and a great guy). He put this
page up on employees.org to make it easier for folks without CCO access to
find out about SSH.
If you have any particular suggestions we'd love to hear them.
