Even though I pride myself as a Solaris man, I run OpenBSD on some
older Sparc equipment. I really like OpenBSD because it is compact,
concise and tight. Most of all I like it's installer: simple and
fool-proof. Even after all these years, I still don't like FreeBSD's
blue installer. It's still confusing even though I've used it thousands
of times. I wished they would change that. Even the Debian installer is
more straight-forward.
Running OpenBSD on a Sparc IPX with some extra NICs is a nice way to go
for a low-end firewall.
