Sendmail on Sun 2.7

Hello,
Im running sendmail on a sun box running solaris 7.  My question is when I 
set up users to access the smtp and pop mail accounts, what is to stop 
someone to telneting in?  How can I reject their telnet session but keep the 
smtp and pop session.  Remember I still need telnet access to that box.  
Please help...
