WebTrends tracks server usage, You may be thinking of WebTrack which is
matured to SmartFilter from Secure Computing.

I established a SmartFilter/Netscape proxy running on an HP 11.0 9000 V
Class and cached 40-50% of the requests which served 2000 users and
generated 5GB of http/ssl traffic through the firewall per day. The system
had two interfaces, one being the proxy. The Smartfilter/proxy was the only
IP allowed through the firewall, hence, any requests not going through the
proxy was denied by policy on the firewall. The cache and I/O are the only
areas that needed monitoring as the usage and traffic seems to double every
six months for the past two years.

Little if any latency/timeouts were experienced with the apps, and it worked
well with VPN SmartPass and Gauntlet firewall. The database was
automatically updated every Monday morn, and by all intents and purposes was
extremely positioned well for our needs. Absolute control of site accesses
is available. The old version reporting was the pits, but the new version
looks promising. Rick Delcourt
