Title: Firewall logging software
Hi,

I would suggest you to block all the traffic and let out some well-known ports like www(80), ssl (443), ftp (20, 21) etc. Then you would have your own network usage policy. Another thing is to see your load on icoming//outgoing traffic by time. You can consult with your ISP they should have some tool for you to monitor the load on your line to ISP. Otherwise you can setup your own like MRTG. It is a free software. You should monitore your router that connect you to your ISP.

Another thing you should consider is to use an IDS system to sniff your network and identify who is using what type of traffic and may be you can do web traffic blocking according to data you've got..

Subject: Blocking Napster on Sonicwall PRO

Dear ALL,

Two questions.

1. Could someone tell me how do i block Napster on my Sonicwall PRO Firewall?

2. Also off late I have seen my Internet access speed has drastically reduced, and the ISP I am connected to says no fault at his end, its only that someone on my network is uploading a huge amount of data which is blocking my allocated bandwidth. Well need assitance on how to track and get this one rectified?

Thanking you in anticipation.

Best Regards,
Anup
