hi ya brett
but you'd need a 4-port "router" ( gateway ) anyway
for the 4 subnets... ( 4 copper wires/lans )
otherwise... people can just change the masks on tehir
subnet...and view everything on the one copper wire.... for
4 "virtual subnets"
- router vs gateway vs firewall vs bridge ...
- sometimes all used interchangeably ???
( but not quite the same )
- well the 4-local lan subnet thingie was interesting...
and so i posted my $0.02 ... and that he couldnt find subnetting
made me go check too... and yup... you enter the wrong thing
and you get stuff that has nothing to do with firewalls/subnetting
thanx
