I have always been very satisfied with the Sidewinder. I feel the
exact opposite way Steve does. I look at other firewalls and wonder why
they cannot do stuff the way Sidewinder does. Write up a list of what you
need your firewall to do and compare it to what the Sidewinder and
Netscreen can do. Talk to a couple of the engineers (not sales people) at
each company and then decide. You have already found one very happy
Netscreen customer and I am a very happy Sidewinder customer. I bet if you
look you'll find a dissatisfied customer of both products as well. I could
probably write a more detailed answer of why I think you should chose the
Sidewinder but I would need to know your network and security
needs/concerns. If you have any more specific questions about Sidewinder I
am more than willing to answer them.
