Title: RE: Annoying firewall
I agree with Matthew, it's the companies resources...PERIOD!  It doesn't matter if a user is on break or not, questionable web sources should not be allowed during working hours.  For one thing hackers/crackers usually set up porn sites to garner user information, and porn sites usually want you to furnish a user id and password.  Most users will use the same password they use at work and bingo, unauthorized access!  And most users are blissfully unaware of security, whether it be intentional or not.  It should be remembered that if there is a way for a user to find a way around corporate security devices/policy they will find it and it is up to the overworked security staff to thwart those efforts.

Well for one thing, it is the companies resources...period. Whether a user is on break, or working, they have the right, and duty to limit activities however they choose to protect the company from abuse, hackers, exploits, sexual harassment (porn can lead to this), spam, viruses, or any other issues. I support a company's right to protect itself. If a user wants to have "fun time", they should get a home computer.

Subject: Annoying firewall

Hi all,

I really disagree with the companies, which are setting firewall to over-
control employees' activities in the workplace.  It makes me annoying
and feels that it has power over my right even during the break time.
What do you guys think on this matter?

Look forward to hearing your comments,

Phornphan S.
