I though briefly about this as well. Philip has already pointed out
that the killring and the history overlap. I don't think this overlap
is too bad today, since the scope of the killring is very limited and
the way it functions is dictated by compatibility with other programs.
 But if the killring is further extended, this overlap becomes a
problem. Ideas about how to best use ^C and how to make the existance
of both (or a unification) as intuiotive as possible are welcome.
