I mostly agree with those ideas, except for "if there are no results"
and "if the computer fails to see  any matches".  These suggest that
if I try to complete "ea" and both "earn" and "Earth" are valid
completions then only "earn" should complete.  I think that they
should both be shown.  In other words, Fish should look for
alternative case anyway, and not only if the original case does not
match.

A related question is what to do if I try to complete "ea" and both
"earth" and "Earth" are correct.  Since there is no unique match, the
principle I suggested earlier says that the command should remain
unchanged.  But the matches have a common suffix, so does it not make
sense to complete that?  I guess this is making it too complicated?
