Reinstall whatever package provides the inputrc file (or just > copy the file over from another system) and things should work again. > > Hopefully. > > Axel > i already tryed undoing the small changes i did to inputrc and i even tryed deleting include inputrc from inputrc_fish and all those things didnt help so i dont think inputrc was the problem. so i compiled the latest fish release (that is not suppose to use inputrc) and the situation is worst. any key that is not character doesnt work instead it shows the key code, for example pressing the up arrow writes [A to the command line (i start fishd before i start fish) (im running on a laptop maybe thats somehow related)
