Hi Göran. Try this: In Terminal.app, go to Preferences->Settings. In the 'Shell' tab, check "Run command:", set the command to /bin/sh , and uncheck "Run inside shell" Then try making a new window. Does that work? If so, then fish is implicated; if not then it's something below fish - probably login. Next, try this: Put an empty file in your home directory called ".hushlogin" (without the quotes of course), and then try making a new window. Does that fix the problem? If so, you probably have a corrupt system.log. I think you should be able to recover by deleting /var/log/asl and /var/log/system.log By the way I recommend leaving the .hushlogin file in place, unless you really like seeing the "Last login" note. .hushlogin can speed up login quite a bit. Hope that helps! _fish ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Minimize network downtime and maximize team effectiveness.
