I use terminology from the enlightenment project with no issues
https://www.enlightenment.org/about-terminology It has other features
such as a command to change the background image, which i've hooked up
with some functions to machines i regularly ssh to in order to change
the background image when I ssh in or login as root. It also has a tool
tycat that allows catting images / videos inline. Its downside is you
need to build a toolkit yourself if your distro doesn't have packages.
