Yes you can! :-) However, I wouldn't recommend using Google's email or docs 
suite because I am sure they have reserved rights to read your correspondence 
and probably documents you stored on their servers.

Almost the same thing with iPhone. When you think you are connected to your 
email server or browsing the web page, in fact you are connected to Apple 
Corporation's server which forwards your connection to where you want, however, 
they can track where you go, what are you reading and so one and so force.

I remember those movies about the corporations controlling the world...
