The new FIXwiki -- http://fixwiki.fixprotocol.org -- has a list of messages and 
a page for each.  At the bottom of the page is a place for notes.  This would 
be an excellent place to start.  You must register to login to the wiki, after 
that, it's pretty straight forward if you are familiar with Wikipedia type 
sites.

If we have enough folks interested (which seems likely), we can put some 
thought into a more structured approach that includes things like category 
tagging and linking between message examples, etc. If there were a half dozen 
people interested in/willing to do part-time editorial tasks we could probably 
come up with very useful addition to the toolbox fairly quickly.
