Can't do it John. So much rain here the feet are soft. AND the 'grass' dressage arena is actually grass only where the horses do not use it :-) Training level does not get the good areas. The ring in question is rock and cinder. Last time, Kilar came home with a stone bruise that left him out of commission for weeks. At home, now, and at local pleasure drives, we do go barefoot and that is what we prefer.

Martie in MD - where poor Frida has gotten into a nasty nest of ground bees and is VERY uncomfortable. Her whole face is bitten. Oh well, tis the time of year.

Why not compete barefoot. If you have gone barefooted for a fair period
the hoof should be strong and healthy, so, unless the course is very
rocky or on long stretches of pavement, barefoot should be good.
