This message is from: Bonnie Liermann <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi List:
Thanks to all who responded on the list or privately concerning my question about dieting fjords. They are all on their new schedule and I can tell they hate it! But oh well. In regards to the knee pain question. I have had terrible knee pain and for me, the problem was with the twist in the fenders of the saddle. Even when I have a twist put in (wetting the leather and having it dry twisted so that the stirrup hangs properly) did not solve my knee pain. What did take it away is a synthetic saddle. The fenders are cloth and so I can hold the stirrup in my foot and not stress my knee. The pain does come back to me however, if my body position is not good and I am placing too much weight on one side. Another alternative would be to get that stirrup thingy I see in magazines that puts a swivel above the stirrup so that it can be in the proper position. I haven't used one, but you might like to try one so you don't have to get rid of your saddle. Also, good news. I have been trail riding and the bugs have not been that bad. Thanks for all the input about bug stuff. Still want to try the listerine method. bonnie in WI
