Thx for your reaction. Unfortunately a shared library for each movieclip, would result in over 1000 swf's and this all for just calling some movieclips from an external library, is overkill I think. I hope there is still a better way for doing this.

If you don't want to use a runtime shared library, then I'd suggest making each movieclip you want to load at runtime a separate swf. You can export MovieClips directly from your library. also, as long as it is set to export for actionscript, you can attach any MC you want, to any other MC you want at runtime.
