Just trying to help. :) I don't know if this helps what you're trying to do, but I have found it much easier to parse XML data into value objects and vectors, then doing the data manipulations from there, rather than trying to do all the manipulations with E4X. But if that isn't an option for you and you need to stick with XML all the way, just ignore.
