This is AFTER it checked my player, so I should have went right to the microsite. At first, it was not obvious to me that I could proceed despite the "warning" and I moved on since I was not going to downgrade. I'm not complaining about Macromedia or the plug-in, just the state of affairs in general. Overall, the express player install to upgrade from 7 to 8 works pretty well. A little convoluted, going to Macromedia to confirm the update then popping back open a browser with the original destination, but it does seem to work pretty well.
