Thanks for all your input. Developing software that utilize expensive servers for people in developing countries is a problem. Yup, you guessed it: because it's expensive. Investing thousands of dollars on something you might not even get a job with is very risky.
It's for that reason I try as much as I can to develop with open source software :) Right now we're merely building our portfolio to get work from abroad.
