Myles - I looked when Google Talk first came out and discovered that it was impossible without a proxy (Java applet on the client, or an intermediary server) because of the TLS authentication that Google Talk required (and that Flash doesn't support): http://www.google.com/talk/developer.html#developer
I'd point you to the discussion in the archives, but archive search doesn't appear to be working correctly. best, - rajat -- Rajat Paharia [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.bunchball.com http://www.rootburn.com On 6/15/06, Bieniasz, Myles <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
I know it's possible to build a flash client for XMPP based IM clients and I had at one point seen the now defunct gtalkr.com interface for googletalk. Does anyone have any experience creating a googletalk client in flash or any useful resources regarding this? Thanks in advance for any help provided.
