Either way _root will reference back to _level0 wich isn't the same scope as
your loaded swf. Try replacing "_root" with "this" or a relative path to the movieClip or
textfield you want to target (ex : this._parent.myTextField).

In my original posting I had mentioned that there was no use or _root. I always use a relative path as opposed to an absolute to avoid scope issues. Even if there is no swf to be loaded, etc. I always use "this"

The movie is being loaded into an empty movie clip.
