Hi Michael,

Yes you always need to embed latin uppercase and lowercase and also include other special char.s for each languages if any chars do not exist in English alphabet., in order to make your dynamic texts work correctly. Otherwise you have some display problems and some chars may not appear.

On the other hand, I suggest you to use dynamically generated text fields and text formats. when you embed font inside the flash and if your font is mapped correctly, you dont have any problem with any chars setted utf-8.

peace. : )

Kerem.

I am making a multi lingual flash app and want to separate the fonts out
into shared librarys and just load them in dependant on the locale. Does
anyone know or can point me in the right direction as to which fonts belong
to which language in the font embedding in flash.
For example, if I were to do Armenian for instance, would I still need to
embed the Uppercase, Lowercase, etc.

Is there a definitive list as to which character sets need to be embedded
for any particular language.

Any ideas or links welcome???

Cheers
