The method I use is to assign a message filter to automatically move all messages with "flashcoders" in the subject field to another folder. This separates the important messages from the less important (you know... the work ones :) automatically as they arrive. I have set the filter to move them to a local folder on my machine so the messages don't use up space in my IMAP mail account.
