If you just want to install your app from the DVD to the user's hard
drive, you could just use an installer program instead of a Flash
wrapper like Zinc.

If you're on Windows, try NSIS:

http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Main_Page

If you're on a Mac, the normal method is to allow users to drag a
folder full of files to their hard drive anyway, so you'd have to do
minimal work there.

If you _do_ want a Flash wrapper, I personally wouldn't touch Zinc
again ever - either the old version or the new version.

I'd suggest you take a look at Northcode's SWFStudio:
http://www.northcode.com/ (which costs money)

or Screenweaver HX:
http://screenweaver.org/doku.php (which is free, but is more
complicated to set up)

or HippoHX:
http://hippohx.com/ (which is free, and is a wrapper to make
Screenweaver HX easier)

Or if you're using AS3, take a look at Adobe's AIR.
http://www.adobe.com/products/air/ (which is free).
