[Flashcoders] why is called Vector in AS3? why not "TypedArray"?

I think it is really stupid, and bothersome as hell with regard to code 
completion when working with the vector3d class.

Just had to vent.  Can anyone tell my why?  vector is usually a point, 
combination, or an attack method in my books.
