As a Flash Tiger moderator, I'd like to jump in (perhaps a bit late). Flashcoders has been an extremely good resource for me and other AS coders, and continues to be. Dave Watts does a terrific job with the list, and I'm grateful to him for the time and effort he puts into Flashcoders. Flash Tiger is not in competition with Flashcoders. We're complementary lists, with a lot of crossover. There's plenty of room out there for both groups, and I see a lot more positives to continued cooperation than to competition.
