Hey Omar,
PreloadAssetManager by GreenSock is really good and it smoothes dynamic content.
But I have the AS2 version. Might be a AS3 version out there though.
Loads smooth and you can set up a progress bar for each pic as well.
Users like to know its at least loading.. :)

Hi Omar,

To give you a good advice, I would need to know more of what is happening, code wise. Do you HAVE TO wait until all the pictures are loaded or can you preload them while something else keeps the user happy.

But, testing locally never gives the real picture, Mac or PC.
You should put it online and test it to see what loading time really is.

No one?

Hi all,

I have some sort of game that requires to load some bitmaps before it
starts. I do this by using the Loader class, and shifting from an array of image Links on each time the Event.COMPLETE fires so that the images load one by one. The project is a FLA file (CS4) using document class and some
other classes.

I did most of this project on my Mac Book today, and every time I test the application I had to wait for all the images to load (which takes almost 2
minutes and it was so annoying).
By coincidence I moved the project to a PC (windows 7) and I noticed that when I test the swf movie from Flash CS4, I have to wait until my 39 bitmaps load only the first time, unless I restart Flash CS4, in all the others movie tests, the bitmaps remain "cached" and they load in a heart beat (in less than 2 secs). I would like to know what is the trick with that. Why
this does not happen on Mac? How can I enable this on Mac?

Thanks in advance.
