Ahh.. that is good to know.
I like flash a lot, but I like building "GUI like" applications that I would love to see come to life on the desktop. I am now getting a grasp on the programing aspects of AS2 enough to do damage and still hand my work off to another. I had to learn PHP and XML for many of the projects I've created of been part of so that was a challenge.
I unfortunately haven't any time as of yet to migrate to AS3,
but I got Colins book for Christmas :)) and a 12 yr. old Chivas Regal to sit down with ;)

So many languages and only so many hours in a day..

I mean that a domain-specific programming language solves problems in
a single problem domain. You can't use AS3 to build console
applications, for example. You can't do anything with it except
building Flash applications. C#, on the other hand, can be used to
build desktop applications, console applications, web applications,
etc.
