I set up Ubuntu as a dual boot system on a new laptop that came with Vista. Ubuntu set up just fine and the drive is, of course, NTFS. I let Ubuntu partition the drive, selecting the sizes I wanted for both systems and it worked fine. I can't imagine the NTFS on an XP computer is different but who knows? 73, Mike, K0TER
