<Idea for "chat mode" deleted. Another fellow here in CO suggested this when I was discussing it with him: type your call sign, or just the last 3 letters followed by : (and, of course, your full call sign every 10 minutes) in the plain talk window. E.G. ter: this is some text to be sent in the plain talk window. response: bx: this is a reply to some text being sent. Seems like a reasonable way to do things to me.
