Dave,

Concerning Ed's first point, I agree it would be nice to be able to select an option in the config which would leave the RSID on at all times, as well as the option to disable it after clicking the button in the pop-up window to QSY to the detected mode/frequency.

Or, perhaps there could be two buttons in the popup window:  One to QSY/Disable RSID, and another to QSY/Enable RSID.

I noticed today that the RxID turns off when you acknowledge the
pop-up screen. In the ID screen "Reception disables detector" is not
checked. Normally I would leave the RSID on all the time, since it
makes finding some of the more obscure modes a lot easier.

Also is it possible to sen the RSID on demand in a macro? I see where
you can turn RSID on, off or toggle, but not just send it regardless
of it's current state. In other programs I have macros that send RSID
on CQ's or initial call up but once the QSO is established I no longer
send it.

<TX>
<TXID>
CQ CQ de etc ...

Suggest you might use the existing 3.13BG macro tags as follows:

Call CQ with RSID

<TXRSID:on><TX>CQ CQ CQ de <MYCALL> <MYCALL> <MYCALL><RX>

QSO exchange

<TXRSID:off><TX><CALL> <CALL> de <MYCALL>

Turning TXRSID off if it is already off will be ignored. You can safely
that tag to the beginning any macro which you want to associate with
RSID repression.

The various programs that support a macro language do not implement them
in the same manner. So what works for one program may not for another
and vice versa.
