This might be a good option for some - in cases where there is not a live network connection where NTP can be used to automatically update the time. For those of us who usually have a network connection, it can be disabled.

For instance, during Field Day, we don't have a network connection at our remote location, and it would be good to verify accurate time.

I think for EmComm, this could become a very important issue, especially when logging incoming wrap files during an actual emergency deployment. Its pretty important to know that your messages are logged with the correct time and date.

BTW, take a look at the time and date headers from folks in your email in boxes. I bet you don't have to look very far before you find a few with incorrect times or zulu time corrections (i.e. I'm at -5 but that will be -4 in a few days).

I just tired to duplicate the problem using your call in fldigi and clicked on the <LOG> macro as the OS X computer clock in the OSX desktop changed from 2:59.59 to 3:00.00 and the QSO was logged correct at 2100. Prior to clicking on the log button, I had 2059 entered in fldigi as the OFF time.

Seemed to work normal to me?

Let me know if there is something else I need to try to duplicate the
60 minutes.

I would look at the bios time, as this is where fldigi gets the time to calculate on/off times.

I do know that the begin/end time was worked on extensively about 3 years ago and there have been no problems since then that I'm aware of.
