Hi friends,
I want to share with you an odd behavior of fldigi on 2 PCs with the
same OS...
I have a dell inspiron 1200 laptop with Ubuntu 10.04 (with a local
repository updated in September 2010) running fldigi stable and alpha
(AP) both ok.
But I have a Intel Based Desktop running Ubuntu 10.04 updating from the
repository on the laptop (wifi link) with the same: fldigi stable and
alpha (AP) that have the "odd behavior"...
No matter what fldigi I use (compiled localy/binary/stable/alpha) the
"Auto-fill Country and Azimuth" does not work and also the refill of the
QRA field of a Call already on the logs.
But it does the "Tool Tip on received text..." showing me the name, QTH,
etc of a pre-worked in log station... (just mentioned because maybe it
has some relevance to the problem)
I have tried copying the .fldigi all over the desktop from the laptop
and also erasing the .fldigi folder... diferent versions of fldigi,
compiling from source, runnig the bin pkg, etc... nothing of this seems
to have impact on the odd behavior...
Please point me a direction to look... debugs, logs, what ever you need
just ask.
PS: Yes the two PCs have the two check marks checked, that is the first
thing I look.
I think it is something missing/wrong ON the desktop machine
