Actually, LoTW will ignore exact dupes. If you load your exact same qso twice, it will ignore it the second time. It also detects if you load the same tq8 file twice. Dupes are created if you change one field in your entry, though, and there's no way to get rid of mistakes. The adif exporter of Fldigi has the option to select which QSO to export, but there's no automatic "select from this date" (Dave: wishlist for the future?). I still rely on xlog for my day to day activity. The ability to manage multiple log files and still keep them in plain text is unbeatable, to me. Each month I open a new log file, and load it to lotw at the end of the month.
