It's similar but different because it works automatically.  To see what
it does, enable "Insert text ..." in config/waterfall/mouse (make sure
the text box next to the option contains <FREQ>) and click around on the
wf.  Those <<...>> markers are clickable, and Leigh's patch generates them
also for the searchup/down macros.

I find it useful to associate a frequency with some decoded text.  For
me it works well combined with the markers on the rx scrollbar (which
you also don't like :)  I mostly enter it manually via the right click
menu.
