" A friend showed me the old CTRl+Z trick for restoring text. This is

use often in FLDIGI for when someone needs a resend of my last
transmission. You
just click in the blank TX window, hit CTRL and Z at the same time,
and your
previously transmitted text is restored to the TX window.
However, if you end a transmission with the "ESC" key after the text is
transmitted, when you then follow up with the CTRL+Z shortcut, the
result is
FLDIGI crashes.
CTRL+Z works fine as long as you use the RX macro to end the
transmission. If
you end after sending your text with teh T/R button, then try CTRL+Z,
no text is
restored but FLDIGI does not crash.
The crash occurs in Windows XP and Vista. In Mac, CTRL+Z does not
restore the
text but at least it doesn't crash the program."

Dave,
Tried AP out this morning, and it seems to work with your test script
from a macro button perfectly. I noticed the waterfall freezes during
the <!IDLE:5> sequence, but assumed that was expected. I use Ubuntu
and could not get Fldigi to crash using any combination of CTRL+Z or
ESC. Actually I can not remember the last time I had Fldigi crash, it
has been so long.
