Interesting point about TX. Why do you suppose you get worse results? On my rigs, the TX goes through the widest SSB TX filter installed (2.8 KHz for example) and th sweet spot of 1500Hz ought to be the best for both TX and RX as it is the same filter. What filter architecture does you rig use?
By "best" for TX do you mean least distortion, or least TX audio level required (least atteuation)? I just use a CQ macro and mouse on the macro to resend it agin. QSL on your comment that fldigi only take a few seconds to quit and restart. This is useful and used when strange things start to happen. For this reason I now use 1000 Hz as my sweet spot and I have adjusted the "variable" TS-590's Rx filters to accordingly. My Rx and Tx are now in sync using the really cool "QSY" button W1HKJ incorporated into fldigi. For S&P operation I use the "QSY" button to sync my Rx and Tx and manually tune with the VFO to bring stations to the Space and Mark lines on the waterfall. The first error was the ACCESSED vs. NON-ACCESSED. I had used NON-ASSESSED but the robot did not like the format. I did a copy/paste from nag note and that cleared that issue.
