Sorry to be formal (I'll explain why) - the usual way to tally an ASF vote is with a [VOTE][RESULT] message, with the exact same subject line as the vote message except the added [VOTE] marker, and the tally should look something like: On Sat, Mar 31, 2012 at 7:06 AM, Martin Heidegger <m...@leichtgewicht.at> wrote: > ...So I suggest that we start voting on that, please vote on following points: > > 1) Keep the current package names in the first Apache Flex release 4.8 +1 from the following PPMC members: (list names here) ... -1s: (list names here) ... The vote result is .... > 2) Change the package names in the first major Apache release 5 (same lists of +1s and -1s and results) It's sometimes ok to omit names but including them allows people to easily check that their votes were tallied. Of course, if it's all +1s and no other votes the tally can be simplified. The reasons for having vote results in plain text and the [VOTE][RESULT] header is to make it easy to find and read the votes in our mail archives. Repeating the exact vote topics also helps finding things and avoids any confusion. Could you redo this tally in the proper way? Thanks, -Bertrand
