Is not a matter of understanding, but I have to move on.... flexmojos 3.x just have some bugs due to maven 2.x do not work properly... sometimes works on 2.0.9 but doesn't on 2.2, then work on 2.1 but not at 2.2.1.... maven 3 just don't have this problems....
I may could have a custom flexmojos 4, compatible with maven 2, but I barely have time to maintain one flexmojos version active, would be almost impossible to keep two on my free time. Still, nothing prevents people from porting flexmojos 4 new features to flexmojos 3, I just don't have the time.
