There are two reasons why this probably happens: 1. You're using greylisting. This rejects an initial message from an unknown mail server, which is supposed to try again later. 2. Yahoo is sending mail from many servers. This means it's more likely that the greylisting will apply. To avoid this problem, have your mail server administrator add the appropriate Yahoo mail servers to a whitelist, if possible.
